# Adding participants manually

You can add participants manually to your event, and they will be registered and will receive a ticket without having to checkout. Here are the steps to do it:

1. In your Starstream dashboard, make sure you are in the Events tab.

2. Scroll down and click on the event you want to manually add a participant to.

3. Go to the ‘Participants’ tab.

4. You can add a participant by either email or SMS. To add a participant by email, type the email and click **Add**.

5. A confirmation window will show up. Click **Confirm**.

6. To add a participant by phone number, type the phone number of the participant. If you don’t select the country and type the number with the country extension, it will detect the country automatically. Click **Add** after filling the fields.

7. A confirmation window will show up. Click **Confirm**.

That is it. The user will receive a ticket within 2 minutes via email or SMS.

You can also find the same section to add tickets manually by clicking your event, then heading to the participants section.
