# Using and changing the free checkout email

The free checkout email is an email that you set on the platform, and when used at checkout, Starstream doesn’t take a fee. The free checkout email can be useful for testing event purchase as if you are a customer before publishing a new event.

To use the free checkout email for testing, follow these steps:

1. Find your free checkout email address in **Setting -> Other Settings**

2. Head to any event page, add to cart and check out as if you are buying it. In the checkout page, type your free checkout email in the email field.

3. Enter your credit card details.

4. Type your billing address, and click Pay now to pay. You will be charged only the price of the event, and Starstream won’t take a fee.

## **Changing the free checkout email** <a href="#usvt0uq9opy" id="usvt0uq9opy"></a>

You can change the free checkout email from the settings. Follow these steps:

1. In your main dashboard, head to the Settings tab.

2. From the Settings tab, click on the Other Settings sub-tab. Head to the Free checkout email section and type the new email you want to set for free checkouts. Click Change free checkout Email when you finish.
